The final line.

Ty Geertman

Mrs. Hart

12/19/12

This is now my final post, and I shall be sharing with you all of the things that I learned about blogging, Eminem,

my challenges, and rewards that I got.  One really interesting that that I was how many people where in the band,

and are still in it, including Eminem himself.  I also learned that Eminem's band got famous because of him.

Once D12 started getting more famous a lot of people really liked them.  I also learned that Eminems childhood was a

lot worst than what I thought.  And I didn't know that he had moved around, and changed schools so much,

and that he dropped out.  One more thing that I had learned about his mom was that she was only

15 when he was born.  A problem that I encountered with my blogging experience was uploading the pictures.

They would not paste into my post, because of a few flaws that the iPad has. The way that I would get people to

see my picture was type the web address and then type "to see this picture please visit:_____".

My other problem with blogging about Eminem was fitting everything into one post.  Or even staying on topic, or not

talking about his childhood, because that is what makes him Eminem.  I would sometimes veer off and then I would

have to rewrite, or change some things about my post.  One thing that I found very rewarding about my blogging time

was realizing that Eminem had a lot harder times than I have, and it makes me thankful for not having to go through

all of the things that he did.  It also reminds you that we don't have it that bad off, depending on what it is.  Learning to

blog also was a real reward itself.  I wasn't so sure about it at first, but as we got farther into it I really started to enjoy it,

because I got to learn about such a legend in the rap game.  I also got to learn all the things a full time logger knows.

Thank you so much for your time reading all of my posts, including this one! I really enjoyed making my blog and

information available to you.  Please comment on any post, I would really appreciate it.

The best of the best

The best of the best

As I am closing onto my last post, I am now focusing on the best of Eminem.  An example would be like some of his albums, the most recent, and also the biggest and the best.  Eminem has a lot of big things in his life, and it was hard to choose just five.

Eminem's most recent, and one of his best selling albums, Recovery was release June 18, 2010, this album sold 741,000 albums in the first week (in America).  " The album debuted at number one on the U.S. billboard 200 chart, selling 741,000 copies in its first week in the U.S.". This album wasn't the people's favorite though, for their own certain reasons, I like this album, It shows how much Eminem really has to say, and it is a fine album, no matter what anyone says.

Eminem's next great accomplishment is Relapse, and this album was Eminem's sixth album.  This is also his first album after his 4 years of writers block, and Eminem is not exactly impressed with this album.  I feel like Relapse is a a good album, but it his not his best.  It is something he should be proud our though, because a lot of singers can't come out of things like this, and it is a great comeback for Em.  It keeps him going and helped him find himself for recovery, and his next albums.

One accomplishment that Eminem would probably say is his best would be the birth of his only daughter. December 25, 1995, Haillie Jade Mathers was born, it was with his girlfriend at the time, Kim.  Wich they would soon after get married, and then soon after that they got divorced. They have since dated, and broken up.  "Haillie used to live on the other side of Detroit with Kim, and only sometimes did Eminem get to see her, but eventually Kim moved back in with him.

Eminem releases his biggest album! The news is that "the real slim shady" is finally out.  This is Eminems biggest and best album he has ever released.  This is what made Eminem famous, and also it's what mad his band (D12) famous, so a lot of people benefited from just this one album.  It was released on February 23 1999, this album sold over 1 million copies, and went platinum, and that his why its his best one yet.

Eminem meets Dr. Dre at the rap Olympics in1997.  Eminem and Dr. Dre liked each other since the beginning. " down to nearly his last dime, he went to the 1997 rap Olympics, hoping to win the prize of 1,500 dollars, he ended up meeting Dre, and that started his career, maybe he didn't get the prize, but he has won millions of dollars instead."  I feel that this was Eminem's greatest accomplishment of all, because it has made him who he is, and he now has an amazing friend that always sticks by his side.

Those five things I just shared to you about Eminem are probably his five greatest accomplishments as a singer/songwriter.  Yes he has had his ups, and his downs but don't we all? I know Eminem should, and is proud of all of these 5 things, and I feel that he should be.  Thank you for reading.

To play, or Not to Play

I'd like to bring radio censorship to your attention.  This is somewhat of a big controversy, because some people think that the radio is not censoring enough, but at the same people are complaining that the radio censors too much.  This censorship really hurts Eminems ratings because he says some words that people would not like to hear on the radio, and people try to convince that they should just change some of the words.

In my first source that I have this person is arguing that the radio is arguing that the radio is way to protective.  He says that when they bleep out, or change words that kids will take it upon theirselves to search up the words, or lyrics on YouTube or any other site that will show them, so he is saying that they might as well play them, or kids could fill them in with their own imagination.

The next source is explaining why it is completely legal to play the full lyrics.  The source has said that it is the radio station that chooses to not play certain words or phrases.  The first amendment protects us from the government taking away our free speech, which means that the government itself cannot tell the radio to play, and what not to play.

Both of these sources believe that the radio stations should not bleep out words.  At the very least they would like stations tho change them to a word that is not so bad. These two sources though just have two very different ways of saying that. One source is taking the legal approach, while the other one is stating of how it may be better for children.

These two sources agree on on the playing the real version, like I said.  I think that stations should play what they think is appropriate.

My opinion on this topic however is keeping the stations the same, I liked listening to good music, and if I want to listen to the original version then I can download it into my phone, or my iPod even.  Thank you for your time.

Roots of Rap

Rap did not start that long ago.  It may have started at the most, maybe thirty to fourth years ago. If you listen to how much it has changed, from then until now you will understand the huge changes, like the words or even the style that they sing it now.  Back then, it used to be upbeat, and now it is not so much.

Hip-hop wasn't really popular until he 70's.  It rose mostly from young African-American males.  Not long after that though young white rapper groups started getting together, like the Beastie Boys, and even the girl rap group Salt n' Pepper was formed. Personally though, I think that the later stuff is better than the earlier rap.

Eminem was a huge changer in the rap game, he brought it from what it used to be, funk, and not saying much, to actually telling a story in each song. And that, I believe is actually worth listening to.  Eminem was also an idol to a lot of famous, and not famous rappers today. Eminem pretty much controlled rap when it was in its prime. He was up against huge rappers, such as Snoop Dogg, Tupac, 50 cent, Royce da' 59, and even Dr. Dre.  But Eminem was selling the most.

Eminem's band, D-12 was never really famous, they were really good, but they did get famous once Eminem did.  Once that Eminem was famous all of the other rappers in the group started getting famous, such as Kuniva, Swifty, Mcvay, Fuzz Scoota, Bugz, Proof, Bizzarre, and Mr. Porter.  Not all of the band is still alive though.  Eminem, of course is one of the most famous out of all of them. Proof, who has passed away, was Eminem's best friend, and it had tore him to pieces when Proof died.

Eminem has been a huge game changer in the history of rap, and he helped build modern rap, and he still raps, and is still one of the best.  The history of rap really is a lot different than a lot of people think, and that is why I shared some of it with you.

Tips on rapping

I'm going to tell you a few tips on how to be a great rapper, and if you follow these few tips then it may help you out, I'm not saying that you will go from nothing to something though.

If you want be a rapper you have to have some things that you have to rap about.  A lot of good rappers had bad childhoods, it makes them what they are.  Eminem was one of them.  He had an awful childhood, like I have explained in my past posts.  He shows how much he hated it, if you really listen to the words he sings, he's full of anger and sadness.

To rap you need to be able to talk/sing pretty fast, or be able to come up with certain rhymes that people like.  A lot of rappers actually offend people.  It makes them feel like they are on the top, and they are the best.

Eminem frequently had a lot of his punch lines ready for him if he ever needed them during his battles.  That way he could always find something to rap about, and he would also mix freestyle in with it, just to make it better.  He would always look for the doubt in someone, something that he could grab and use against them "using their own doubt against them" he once said.

Eminem has always been great at rap battles because he knows how to insult someone.  He always had the talk that he needed, and he definitely had the big ego to be good rapper, it doesn't actually help you rap, but it will help boost your confidence.  It makes you feel more dominant out there on the stage.

Eminem was a great rapper, and if you had the chance to learn from him, and not follow his mistakes you would also be a good rapper.  I think that Eminem is a very rare type of person, growing up with nothing but turning it into fame and fortune.  He literally went from nothing to in my opinion, the best rapper out there.

http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=Eminem

"In 2006, after the murder of his closest friend, and hip-hops most talented star became its mos notorious recluse. As he returns with a new album , Guy Adams travels to Detroit to find the tales of breakdown, paranoia and tortured genius."

Written by "The Independent" newspaper.

Eminem since then has come out with a few huge hits and soon is coming out with another in 2013.  He believes that it is going tone one of his best yet.

A lot of people know about Eminem , but not a lot of them know about him,and his on and off girlfriend, Kim, or even his teenage daughter, Hailie. A lot of Eminems songs are her, and I found a quote her. " I know and I want to be there for my daughter, whenever she needs me. I want to be with her on every step of the way, ya' know. She's the best thing that has ever happened to me."

Eminem really cares a lot about his daughter, I think that a lot of the reason that he keeps singing is for her sake.

Proof, Eminems best friend, not many people know how close they really where, he pretty much loved that guy and then he was just killed. Eminem misses him, he always raps about him.

Eminem is an interesting, intruiging man, he is full of mysteries and hate.
